What Is A-Venue?

A-Venue is an Arts Queensland project for young people aged 15 to 25 participating in the music industry in regional Queensland.

Arts Queensland is funding five regional partners along Queensland’s eastern seaboard to deliver programs of support to young people within the Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast areas.

Q Music offers its professional development, workshop, event support, tour circuit development, links with the national music industry and general services to each of the five regional partners

A VENUE WORKSHOP SERIES 2008
The Gold Coast City Council is pleased to announce the final FREE A-Venue workshops in the 2008 series, presented by Q Music. These workshops are for young and emerging Gold Coast residents, aged 30 and under. The final workshops in the series will focus on Copyright and licensing and synchronization (Film/TV) opportunities for your music. The workshops will be held upstairs at The Coolangatta Hotel from 10am – 3.45pm on Saturday June 21st.

MAKE SOME SOUNDS 2 - CD STUDIO DEMO PROGRAM
A-Venue, Gold Coast City Council and Arts Queensland’s Youth Music Initiative, want to help you make sounds. We are offering 10 Gold Coast bands or solo musicians the opportunity to work with professional studio producers to get their first studio experience, work with professional producers and produce a two-track demo CD, of which you will receive 45 copies – for free!
