Organisation: Transgressive Records
Having released singles from Bloc Party and The Rakes, Tim set up Transgressive Records with Toby L five years ago.
Starting with only £1K as a singles label Transgressive launched the careers of The Subways, The Mystery Jets and The Young Knives before moving on to full length album releases from the likes of Foals, Graham Coxon and in the UK Liam Finn, Regina Spektor, The Shins and Iron and Wine where they now work with label manager Lilas Bourboulon on releases such as Johnny Flynn, Pulled Apart By Horses and Gaggle.
Diversifying into Management with Johnny Flynn, and Publishing with The Noisettes, Mystery Jets and Two Door Cinema Club, Transgressive has also founded a producer management arm with Claire Southwick working with the likes of Ryan Hadlock (The Gossip, Blonde Redhead), Paul Savage (Delgados, Franz Ferdinand, Mogwai).
Tim is also the director of Rockfeedback a Music TV media company, live promoters and online music magazine (www.rockfeedback.com) which is working as part of the newly founded LoveLive company to create, distribute and sustain music related content in an ever changing industry.
Born from a DIY ethic and a necessity to operate outside of, whilst infiltrating, the mainstream, Tim has, with the extensive team at Transgressive and Rockfeedback, created one of the only sustainable and genuine new music companies in the world today, and at 26 years old, is only just getting started.
