A successful promoter/artist manager and record label executive since 1982 and instrumental in the early career success of New Order, The Ramones, Kate Ceberano, Nick Cave, The Birthday Party, Lou Reed, INXS and the Violent
Femmes. Ken’s experience led to the creation of Australia’s first youth culture and urban festival, the Big Day Out. West’s intuition around changing trends and the establishment of the festival as a breaker of new acts is profound. In 2012 Ken sold 50% of the BDO brand and business to the American company C3, the promoters of Lollapolooza and Austin City Limits Festival.
