International Touring

Thursday 11 July 2002, 10:00am
How does an act develop international networks? When should you tour overseas? What levels of funding support are available? Is it even necessary to develop a national base before going overseas?

This session will explore ways in which both domestic and international markets can be developed concurrently. Could some acts be pigeon-holing themselves in defining their success and benchmarks at a national level rather than exploring the international environment.

Explores the impact of globalisation, increased access to distribution networks and international contacts.
