Thursday 11 July 2002, 1:00pm
The Queensland Music Industry has a pattern of generating incredible talent and then seeing that talent utilising industry services such as management, booking agents and legal advice that is based in either New South Wales or Victoria.

Why?

Is there any truth to the theory that Queensland industry operators just don't cut it? Or have southern operators stitched up the market to such a point that local operators can't edge their way in?

How do local micro music industries sustain themselves in the face of national and international markets? What does the Queensland need to do to break the pattern of local industry utilising southern based services?
