Big Sound 2003 hit high notes with Queensland music industry.
From Wednesday 23 – Friday 25 July 2003 some 500 conference goers headed to Brisbane's Fortitude Valley to take part in Q Music's 2nd Annual Big Sound Music Industry Conference. Boasting three days of music industry methods and mayhem, Big Sound offered a unique Queensland opportunity for local music industry aspirants to hear the latest tips, tricks and industry techniques from over 25 of Australia's leading industry professionals. Big Sound was offically launched on Wednesday 23 July by The Honorable Matt Foley, Minister for Employment, Training Youth and the Arts, followed by the fiery opening night panel, "Localisation or Globalisation: The fight for Australian content", which captured national public interest and was attended by some 150 guests at the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Art.
