Brett Cottle (NSW)
Brett is the Chief Executive Officer of Australasian Performing Right Association Ltd (“APRA”), having held that position for the past 14 years. In 1997 APRA entered into a management arrangement with the mechanical right society in Australia/New Zealand, AMCOS, following which Brett took on the AMCOS CEO role in addition to APRA responsibilities.
A lawyer, Brett is a Director of the Australian Copyright Council Ltd and a past member of the Copyright Law Review Committee. Internationally, Brett is a past Chair of the Asia-Pacific Committee of CISAC (the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers) and is currently the Vice-Chair of the Executive Bureau of CISAC.
