Queensland’s Black Market Rhythm Co. have been playing their rootsy rock ‘n roll songs at a string of summer festivals of late, including Big Day Out, Woodford Folk Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival, Quiksilver Pro Show and Festival Of The Sun. Their debut album ‘Low-Fi Records, Hi-Fi Radio’ was
released in February this year receiving glowing reviews from both the press and punters alike, The Weekend Australian touting it as a must hear record giving it 4/5 stars. The band have played to packed houses in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, toured interstate several times over with great success, and have seen as number of tracks receive airplay on Triple J and community radio throughout the year. More recently their track "Lucky Star" appear on Australia's leading Drama TV Series, City Homicide.
Black Market Rhythm Co are eagerly gearing up to jump back in the van for their spring national tour over the coming months and look forward to recording their sophmore album set for release mid 2009.
