Queensland Music Awards – now you get to vote and win

Music fans are being given the chance to throw their support behind their favourite Queensland artists as the Queensland Music Awards opens voting in the new Courier-Mail People’s Choice Awards.

For the next three week’s it’s the public’s chance to vote in the Most Popular Male, Most Popular Female, and Most Popular Group Award categories.

Those who cast their vote will go into the running to win a ‘Live and Loud’ pack including double passes to the Big Day Out 2012, Splendour in the Grass 2012, Soundwave 2012, the Woodford Folk Festival, Q Music’s BIGSOUND Live and more.

Voting has started with the first round of finalists – just head to www.couriermail.com.au/qma.

Winners of all categories will be announced at the Queensland Music Awards night, to be held at new venue The Old Museum on August 16.

The Awards night will feature performances from Elixir featuring Katie Noonan, The Medics, Busby Marou, Emma-Louise, and DZ Deathrays.

Tickets for the event have been exhausted however Q Music are looking at releasing additional tickets at a later date.
