Gold Coast Homeless Connect Seeks Performers to Donate Time

The Gold Coast Homelessness Network is seeking expressions of interest from performers who would like to volunteer their services at the 2010 Homelessness Connect event to be held on 4 August at Albert Waterways Park Broadbeach.

Homeless Connect is an annual event that brings people experiencing homelessness and those doing it tough together with support services such as housing, health and emergency accommodation providers, domestic violence and legal services for a day of entertainment, pampering, and education. Past events have included acoustic performances, Karaoke, street soccer tournaments, kids activities, giveaways, and on-site broadcasts by ABC local radio. Production includes a stage and small P.A. suitable for acoustic acts and small ensembles.

This is a terrific opportunity to give something back to the community and spend a day entertaining others. For more information contact policypm@qshelter.asn.au or call 0421-485-033.
