Youth Arts Queensland Calls for Submissions to Young People Creating Queensland
Are you a young Queenslander who makes art, produces gigs, organises workshops and events in your local community?
Then Youth Arts Queensland wants to hear from you!
As part of the Q150 celebrations, YAQ are celebrating young people, their creativity and the contribution they make to the community. They are looking for 150 young aspiring artists, arts workers, creative entrepreneurs and change makers to be profiled in a publication called Young People Creating Queensland.
What is Young People Creating Queensland
Young People Creating Queensland will be a hard-copy publication produced by Youth Arts Queensland. The publication will feature 150 profiles and images of young artists and their work and provide a snap shot of what kind of creative things young people in Queensland do.
Young People Creating Queensland will also be online featuring your profile as well as profiles of your project and the people that support you.
So if you:
* are 30 years of age or under, and
* have created a new body of work, put on an event, worked for an arts organisation or on an arts project, established a new initiative, and/or have contributed to change in your local community, and
* live and/or work in Queensland
YAQ wants to hear from you!
Submissions close Friday August 28. Artists from all cultural backgrounds, regional and remote areas are encouraged to apply. For more info, click here.
