Research Paper Presentation:
Wednesday, 06 July 2005 3:00 PM
In a world where image and sound are inextricably linked, music, one of the slower reactive artistic forms of expression, is rediscovering itself as an essential part of every sight experience. What do the sounds of silence look like? These days you can see that silence on any site (web) that goes with the listening experience. Are we listening less and looking more? Or are we at a point where we can't really distinguish between what we're seeing and what we're hearing?
This paper will be presented by Dr Frank Millward, Live Arts and Popular Music, Faculty of Art, Design and Music, Kingston University, UK.
Venue:
The Troubadour 1st floor, 322 Brunswick Street Mall, Fortitude Valley
Speakers:
Dr Frank Millward (UK)
