Gold Coast Music Awards 2017

The iconic Surfers Paradise beachfront lit up for the third annual Gold Coast Music Awards on Thursday night, April 27 as hundreds of punters were treated to a free outdoor concert. Meanwhile in the sold-out VIP Marquee, QMusic Executive Officer Joel Edmondson, Program Manager Trina Massey and Business Development Manager Michael Watt joined with the local industry to celebrate the best in Gold Coast music of the past 12 months.

Having already scooped the pool at the Queensland Music Awards in March, Amy Shark was once again a big winner, continuing her stellar year by taking home Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for her double platinum single Adore.

The list of winners across other categories was diverse, with dark electronic duo Tesla Coils winning Breakout Artist of the Year, hip-hop pair Lane Harry x Ike Campbell taking out Album of the Year for Youth and heavy metal outfit The Black Swamp picking up Video of the Year for Common Crow.
