Lord Mayor's $250 - $10,000 Community Grants

The Lord Mayor’s Suburban Initiative Fund allocates $55,000 to each council ward (minimum $250 to a maximum of $10k) to fund projects that create a stronger sense of community in Brisbane. Do you have a community music event that fits this bill? There may be funding available for you.

Submissions are not restricted to any particular field, but must fit the ethos of the ‘Brisbane Vision’ - 'to be a friendly and safe, active and healthy, clean and green or vibrant and creative city'.

Below is a list outlining eligible projects:

  • Community events including Australia Day ceremonies, fetes and those events that charge an entry fee, for example a fundraiser with a cover charge and festivals with a site entry fee
  • Equipment hired for the purpose of a community event
  • Community facility improvements and equipment
