QLD Artists Ayla and Pandamic Sign Label Deals

Big news this week for two emerging Queensland artists, with both inking exciting music industry deals. 2015 Billy Thorpe Scholarship recipient Ayla has aligned herself with both a record label and booking agency while Rockhampton lads Pandamic have signed to Dune Rats' newly minted label Ratbag Records.

Bursting onto the scene in 2014 at just 18, Ayla came to prominence with her single Wish I Was which picked up triple j airplay and became a radio and club hit in Europe. Now her journey continues with the backing of two industry heavyweights, having signed a label deal with Caroline Australia and a booking deal with Select Music.

Her new single Shallow End was co-written with Glenn Sarangapany of Birds of Tokyo, and she's set to hit the East Coast for live dates in between working on a new EP.

Meanwhile, Rockhampton four piece Pandamic join the growing roster of Dune Rats’ Ratbag Records. With the deal tucked away, Pandamic will release their Archer EP on June 2. They’ll give the new EP a good push when they hit the road with Dune Rats and Tired Lion for a regional tour through June and July.
