Bris Community Cup - Line Up Announced!

Come see the legendary Reclink Community Cup hit Brisbane as local media face off with local musos in a charity match raising funds for Reclink Australia. The annual match is heading to Brisbane for the second time, after becoming a staple in the calendar of sports and music lovers in Melbourne since it kicked off in 1993!

With footy at the helm of the Cup, the event is just as renowned for its incredible bill of preshow, halftime, and post match bands, with performances from some of the nation’s most beloved artists for both the little and big kids alike.

Games are being held across six capital cities Australia wide this year, with local Brisbane teams the Brisbane Lines (Media) and the Rocking Horses (Musicians) facing off at Leyshon Park in Yeronga on Sunday, July 30th.  Teams are currently training each week and ready to battle for the cup!

Featuring players from a vast array of Brisbane bands pitted against a motley ensemble of 4ZZZ stalwarts, music industry insiders, street press staff and many more music-related professions. Keep an eye out for the player cards for 2017 which will be released on the Brisbane Community Cup Facebook Page

This year’s theme is based on the iconic Go-Betweens song and default Brisbane anthem ‘Streets of Your Town’, making this a fitting time to show the rest of the country what Brisbane’s got. There'll be plenty of live music on the day as well as footy!
