QLD Artists Make NIMA Finalists List

Two brilliant Queensland talents have been announced as finalists in this year’s National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMA). Tia Gostelow and Emily Wurramara are both up for the prestigious New Talent of the Year Award, with Wurramara also a contender for Song of the Year at the 2017 event, which will take place at the Darwin Amphitheatre on August 12.

Both artists have had stellar years so far - they each walked away with prizes at this year’s Queensland Music Awards (Schools and Folk/Singer Songwriter Awards for Gostelow, Indigenous Award for Wurramara) – and these latest accomplishments indicate more success to come.

Wurramara will also take to the stage to perform at the event, playing alongside an incredible lineup of talent including A.B. Original, Dan Sultan and Paul Kelly.
