For those not quick enough to grab the final purple passes for parties and conference events, all is not lost—Ableton Live Lab and Canon have announced special events open to the public to celebrate BIGSOUND. The Ableton Live Lab will be open Tuesday September 5th – Thursday 7th from midday to 4pm with free entry, giving you the opportunity for hands-on mentoring sessions through a variety of workshops, showing how their software can enhance the creative process for musicians and producers and giving participants the chance to win Live 9 (Suite).

Canon will be hosting exclusive masterclasses with Melbourne Canon Collective ambassador Neal Walters. Choose from video production or live music photography workshops featuring Clowns, Endless Heights and Polaris. Places are limited and you must pre-register, see more info at

For the first time, BIGSOUND will also host a merch desk and artist DJ pop up bar, available in the Brunswick Street Mall. Come on down and see BIGSOUND Festival artists on the decks and signing merch. Found your new favourite band? Well now you can deck yourself out in the shirt in between sets. And while you’re there, don’t forget to check out the amazing art and light installations that will be blowing minds all over Fortitude Valley and redefining Brisbane’s famed live music precinct.
