$10,000 Billy Thorpe Scholarship Extended
Applications have been extended for the $10,000 Billy Thorpe Scholarship for 2011. The annual Billy Thorpe Scholarship provides a structured range of support for an emerging musician to establish a professional career through career planning and the opportunity to record with a local producer. Funded by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, the scholarship was named in honour of late, great Australian musician Billy Thorpe who passed away in February 2007.
The Billy Thorpe Scholarship is delivered by Q Music with the winner announced at the Queensland Music Awards on 16 August 2011.
Applicants for the 2011 Billy Thorpe scholarship must submit an application form, CV, letters of support and a sample of their work. Applications will now close on 5th June at midnight.
