Billy Thorpe Scholarship Applications Now Open

Arts Queensland's annual Billy Thorpe Scholarship provides a structured range of support to establish a professional career through career planning and advice and the opportunity to record with a local producer. The scholarship, named in honour of the late Billy Thorpe, a great Australian rock musician who passed away in February 2007, was designed to help develop the future of rock and roll.

2013 Grant McLennan Fellowship Submissions Now Open

 Arts Minister Ian Walker has urged Queensland musicians and songwriters to apply for the annual $25,000 Grant McLennan Memorial Fellowship that honours the musical legacy of Grant McLennan. Applications are open now and close on 28 June 2013 with winners to be announced in September.

Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition Applications Open

Applications for the 2013 Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition are now open. $65,000 cash will go between the three placewinners this year, making this the largest songwriting competition of its kind in the world. All Proceeds Go to Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Australia.

Apply Now for Creative Young Stars Program

The Creative Young Stars Program will encourage, support and celebrate creative, cultural, academic and community achievement throughout Australia by students and young people. The Program will assist school students, and where appropriate their families, and post-school young people (25 years and under) requiring financial assistance to participate in activities, events or training.
