Cathy de Silva
Cathy de Silva has been a dedicated arts marketer for almost 15 years, having worked for organisations including Brisbane Festival, QPAC, Brisbane Powerhouse, Museum of Brisbane and Queensland Arts Council, as well as freelanced with local visual artists and production companies. She loves working behind-the-scenes and supporting artists and organisations in celebrating their creativity and sharing their stories (especially since she is rubbish at singing and visual arts).
Major events Cathy has lead the Marketing on include Brisbane Comedy Festival, Wonderland Festival, MELT: Festival of Queer Arts and Culture, Clancestry, Out of the Box Festival and more. She has experience across partnership management, promotional activations, strategy development, digital and social media, publicity and more. Cathy's main objective is to give a voice to those in the live performance industry who might not know how to promote themselves or need help sharing their messages.
