Brewer Victoria Bitter is bringing back VB HARD YARDS, putting three bands (one each from QLD, NSW/ACT and VIC) on the road in October.
Last year three upcoming Aussie acts got to share the stage with punk rock legends Cosmic Psychos, and this year organisers have promised some huge headliners will be joining the winners on tour.
The lineup will be announced in August, with winners getting to play shows in Melbourne, Brisbane, Newcastle and Sydney (with flights and accomodation included) plus $5000 cash, a pre-paid rehearsal room, professional press shots and exposure via Hard Yards media.
“It’s hard work for touring bands. Booking supports, venues, lighting, logistics, luggage, and even just establishing an audience for your band in different cities, is no easy feat. But VB are going to give three young bands the chance to get a bit of help with load in … so to speak.”Ross Knight
