Talent Search co-ordinator LaVonne Bobongie and Program co-ordinator Emily Murphy are working hard to provide a platform and pathway for musicians to develop, make connections and build their skills to nurture and sustain a music career.
A fully paid trip to Nashville 2020 with Soundmart Tours, as well as superb products, introductions to industry and outsourced publicity are all part of a massive prize package. Winner also snags the chance of standing in the spotlight before big audiences at Tamworth Country Music Festival, Brisbane Ekka and Deni Ute Muster later in 2020. A paid performance will be locked in for Gympie Music Muster 2020, after 12 months of working on world fame and celebrity. Muster Talent Search is open to juniors (12-17 years) and anyone over 18.

QMusic today announced the return of the Billy Thorpe Scholarship, funded by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, with applications open until 11:59pm (AEST), Thursday 14 January 2021 for all Queensland early-career artists to apply.

QMusic today announced Clea, Dana Gehrman, Felivand (AKA Felicity Vanderveen), Hope D and MiCCY as the five finalists of the Carol Lloyd Award, a $15,000 grant to support emerging femxle-identifying or non-binary singer-songwriter musicians in Queensland. 2020 is the first year that the Carol Lloyd Award calls QMusic home and is proudly supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and APRA AMCOS.
