Indie-pop artist INIGO has burst onto the scene with a little help from Industry Connect.
The project of Brisbane-based singer songwriter Erin Fitzsimon, INIGO's debut single Hurricane has been unleashed, premiering over at Pilerats. The hook-laden track is the first cut from her forthcoming debut EP and was produced by celebrated Melbourne electronic artist LANKS and Brisbane studio wiz Aidan Hogg.
To celebrate the release, INIGO has also announced her first ever tour, heading off on a run of dates throughout the sunshine state including Brisbane, Toowoomba, Gold Coast and Maroochydore before heading South to Melbourne and Sydney.
Fitzsimon said the knowledge she gained through QMusic's workshop program Industry Connect helped set her on a path toward reaching these milestones.
"Industry Connect gives a real and detailed approach in how to release music, specific to your goals, and understanding realistic outcomes. I was able to tee up artist consultations with a panelist/mentor from the PR workshop, allowing me to dive deeper into releasing my music in the best way possible for me."Erin Fitzsimon
"INIGO is such an exciting project from Erin, a passionate multi-instrumentalist whose diverse creative palette shines through on this single," said QMusic Program Manager Trina Massey.
"Hurricane is an energetic and luscious lead single to a EP that will no doubt excite and build her artistic profile."
