Over January HOTA will host a range of awesome activities for aspiring little rock stars – create a party playlist at DJ Skool, bust a move at the Break Dance & Hip-Hop Workshop, get your shred on at the Air Guitar Workshop and go nuts at a very special gig with the one and only Regurgitator!

January 8 + 15
Dive head first in 2019 and become one of the legendary Zed Announcers! Learn everything you need to know about how to be a fully qualified announcer with Queensland's oldest (and coolest) community radio station.
This special training round is open to people aged between 13 and 17 years of age and successful graduates will be offered a place with the team producing & presenting the 'Zed Youth' show airing on Zed Digital.
January 7 – 11
Empowering girls, trans and gender non-conforming youth aged 10-17 through a week-long mentorship program, Girls Rock! Brisbane encourages creativity, self-expression and teamwork through music.
Under the guidance of some of Australia’s finest female musicians, you’ll form a band, learn an instrument and perform at rock show! No experience necessary, instruments provided. Grown ups can get involved too, GR!BNE are on the lookout for volunteers and mentors!
December – February
Are you a 10-17 year-old songwriter? I Heart Songwriting Club are offering a fully online 10-week program over the school holidays.
Get mentorship, feedback and participate in weekly songwriting challenges. And the best part? You can take part from anywhere in the world, even take your songwriting on holidays with you!

BEMAC are offering an amazing opportunity for artists to use the Queensland Multicultural Centre Auditorium as a space to rehearse and develop creative projects.
Suitable for bands, theatre groups, choirs, dance groups and ensembles of all kinds, it's a chance to get loud! PA system and mics supplied free.
