Winners Announced For 2017 #QldMusicAwards

A music-loving public joined forces with the Queensland music industry on Monday night to celebrate the state’s finest artists at the annual Queensland Music Awards, presented by BOQ and Hutchinson Builders. Amy Shark took out Song Of The Year for 'Adore', Violent Soho's 'WACO' was named Album of the Year, Tia Gostelow won two awards and george performed a moving tribute. Check out the photo gallery!

Marville Awarded 2017 Billy Thorpe Scholarship

Employment Minister and Member for Brisbane Central Grace Grace with Lynn Thorpe, presented the celebrated $10,000 Billy Thorpe Scholarship, supported by the Queensland Government, to Ash Kerley of Brisbane two-piece band Marville at the 2017 Queensland Music Awards last night.

Call Out For Brisbane Gig Posters

Have you got a piece of local music history hanging on your wall, or gathering dust somewhere in your house from 1975-1995? Brisbane musician and 2016 Letty Katts Award recipient John Willsteed (pictured) is calling for music fans, music industry workers and merch collectors to donate their old music/band/venue posters to help expand the State Library of Queensland’s collection as part of the Street Life research project.
