#About QMusic
QMusic is the peak body for Queensland’s music sector, a not-for-profit dedicated to securing the future of an industry that delivers artistic, cultural, social and economic value to Queensland.
With ongoing funding commitments from the state and federal government and partnerships with local government authorities across our state, we run a series of programs and events focused on building community, industry capacity, market growth and artistic development.
We provide powerful platform events to showcase Australian talent to audiences here and around the globe, all the while acting as a key advocate for the sector and investing in the grassroots of music across our state.
Key events include BIGSOUND, the largest music industry event in the southern hemisphere, the Queensland Music Awards, our state-wide skills and capacity building program QMusic Industry Connect, Queensland Parliamentary Friends of Music, as well as awards such as the Billy Thorpe Scholarship, the Grant McLennan Fellowship, the Carol Lloyd Award and the Dennis ‘Mop’ Conlon Scholarship.
#Current Opportunities
The Campaign Manager is responsible for leading and executing integrated marketing and communications campaigns for QMusic's major events and programs, with primary focus on BIGSOUND as the organisation's flagship event, while also supporting campaigns for the Queensland Music Awards and Industry Connect activities.
This is a hands-on campaign leadership role that combines strategic planning with day-to-day execution, working within the strategic framework set by the Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications. The Campaign Manager coordinates closely with the year-round marketing team (Brand and Content Manager, Marketing & Communications Coordinator) while leading a small team of contractors during peak delivery periods.
This role requires an experienced music industry or live event marketer who can balance big-picture campaign thinking with meticulous execution, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and delivering campaigns that drive ticket sales, build anticipation, and position QMusic's events as essential for the Australian music industry.
The Partnerships Manager plays a vital role in QMusic's partnerships team, ensuring that corporate, government, and philanthropic partnerships are delivered with excellence throughout their lifecycle. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Partnerships, this position manages the entire partner relationship journey from initial engagement through to successful delivery and reporting.
Working across QMusic's programs and events—particularly BIGSOUND and the Queensland Music Awards—the Partnerships Manager ensures contractual obligations are met, partner expectations are exceeded, and return on investment is maximised. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong relationship management skills, and the ability to coordinate complex activations across multiple stakeholders.
The Partnerships Manager is process-driven and outcome-focused, promoting a culture of high performance whilst maintaining the warmth and collaborative spirit that defines QMusic's approach to partnership delivery.
