Understanding the legal side of your music project is important in professionalising your practice. Whilst it can feel overwhelming and sometimes confusing, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Enter the Legal Pack for Musicians.

Join Arts Law CEO Dr Louise Buckingham and Simpson Law Director Jules Munro as they explore the newly created Legal Pack for Musicians. They’ll guide you through the resource, exploring factsheets, checklists and various music agreements - from Band Partnerships, publishing agreements, synchronisation licences, producer agreements, and much more.

This session will equip you with a better understanding of your rights in music, and what you’re agreeing to when it comes to the use and ownership of your music.

Q&A session at the end.

The Legal Pack for Musicians was created by Arts Law and Simpsons Lawyers, with support from AMIN organisations and APRA AMCOS. It will be made available from the time of this event.

Presented in conjunction with AMIN: QMusic, MusicNSW, Music Victoria, MusicSA, MusicNT WAM, Music Tasmania and MusicACT.

QMUSIC acknowledges the many Traditional Custodian groups all across what is now referred to as Queensland. We pay our respect to all elders: past and present. As a peak body we also acknowledge the important role that music has played and continues to play on these lands since the very first sunrise.
