#About QMusic

QMusic is the peak body for Queensland’s music sector, a not-for-profit dedicated to securing the future of an industry that delivers artistic, cultural, social and economic value to Queensland.

With ongoing funding commitments from the state and federal government and partnerships with local government authorities across our state, we run a series of programs and events focused on building community, industry capacity, market growth and artistic development.

We provide powerful platform events to showcase Australian talent to audiences here and around the globe, all the while acting as a key advocate for the sector and investing in the grassroots of music across our state.

Key events include BIGSOUND, the largest music industry event in the southern hemisphere, the Queensland Music Awards, our state-wide skills and capacity building program QMusic Industry Connect, Queensland Parliamentary Friends of Music, as well as awards such as the Billy Thorpe Scholarship, the Grant McLennan Fellowship, the Carol Lloyd Award and the Dennis ‘Mop’ Conlon Scholarship.

#Current OPPORTUNITIES

BIGSOUND Event Coordinators

We're looking for experienced Event Coordinators to help bring BIGSOUND to life. You'll be the connective tissue between venues, artists, and crew, solving problems on the fly and ensuring every detail is executed seamlessly from bump-in to bump-out. If you have a background in arts, events, or technical production and thrive under the pressure of a live festival, we'd love to hear from you.

BIGSOUND Site Crew

BIGSOUND is looking for hands-on Site Crew who know how to work hard, move fast, and get the job done. You'll be on the ground setting up, packing down, and keeping everything running smoothly across the festival footprint. If you've got a background in live events and love the buzz of bump-in, we'd love to hear from you.

BIGSOUND Operational Assistants

We're looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented Operational Assistants to join the BIGSOUND team across four key areas: Production, Artist/Talent Liaison, Ticketing, and Crew Coordination.

Whether you're supporting the Event Operations Manager with site logistics, contractor coordination, and budgeting; helping the Showcase Coordinator run the Artist Hub and tackle last-minute artist needs; managing the flow of delegates and ticket holders at our ticketing hubs; or working alongside the Crew Coordinator to mobilise volunteers across the festival precinct, these roles sit at the heart of making BIGSOUND run smoothly.

If you're calm under pressure, love being in the thick of a live event, and want hands-on experience in one of Australia's most iconic music industry festivals, we want to hear from you.
