#Appointment of Interim CEO
The QMusic Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Kristy Ellis as Interim CEO, commencing this Monday.
Kristy comes to QMusic with more than two decades of experience spanning major events, the creative industries, and the commercial sector. She is widely recognised for her ability to guide organisations through periods of significant growth and change - bringing clarity, purpose, and momentum to the teams and communities she leads.
Throughout her career, Kristy has delivered large-scale programs in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, demonstrating a proven capacity to balance competing priorities while keeping people and outcomes front and centre. Her breadth of experience across both the creative and commercial worlds makes her exceptionally well-placed to lead QMusic through this period of transition.
Kristy will take on the Interim CEO role while the Board conducts an independent, third-party recruitment process to appoint a permanent CEO. This process will be structured, transparent, and firmly focused on securing the best long-term leader for QMusic, our members, and Queensland's music industry.
The Board extends its gratitude to the QMusic team, members, and broader music community for their continued support. We are confident that with Kristy at the helm during this transition, QMusic will continue to champion Queensland music with the same energy and dedication our community deserves.
We look forward to introducing Kristy more formally in the days ahead and to the exciting chapter that lies ahead for QMusic.
