Music business 101: Learn the essentials to manage your music career

Do you love to play music and want to learn basic business tools to help you generate an income from your passion?

Join QMusic and industry representatives for Music business 101, a workshop designed for aspiring musicians, and emerging and semi-professional bands. Music industry workers and established musicians who want a refresher in the basics of business management are also welcome.

Participants will learn the essentials of starting a music business. They will gain valuable knowledge on the practicalities of running a business as a sole trader, partnership or hobbyist. There will also be tips on:

business accounting
workplace health and safety
public liability insurance
superannuation.
Registration begins at 9:30 AM with the workshop commencing at 10:00 AM. Lunch will be provided after the workshop, with an opportunity for networking.
