#2026 Queensland Music Awards Nominations are now open!

From household names Keith Urban, The Veronicas and Amy Shark to emerging artists like Jem Cassar-Daley, Jesswar and Hope D, the Queensland Music Awards is an annual celebration of the state's best music.

Nominations are now open and will close on Monday, December 1 at 11.59pm. Please note, nominations will not be extended.

The 2026 Queensland Music Awards is proud to welcome back the People’s Choice Awards in partnership with The Music. Fans will have the chance to vote for the Venue of the Year and Festival of the Year finalists, with winners decided through a 60:40 weight

CAROL LLOYD AWARD

CAROL LLOYD AWARD

The $15,000 Carol Lloyd Award honours the contribution the late Carol Lloyd made to the Queensland music scene and awards $15,000 to support an emerging female-identifying or non-binary singer-songwriter Queensland musicians to record a full-length album or record and tour an EP.

DENNIS 'MOP' CONLON SCHOLARSHIP

DENNIS 'MOP' CONLON SCHOLARSHIP

The annual $15,000 Dennis ‘Mop’ Conlon Scholarship provides the opportunity for an emerging Indigenous Queensland musician or band to develop and record a song or series of songs, to support and develop their ongoing career in the music industry.

BILLY THORPE SCHOLARSHIP

BILLY THORPE SCHOLARSHIP

The annual $15,000 Billy Thorpe Scholarship provides the opportunity for an emerging artist or band to record with an established producer and receive career planning support from Chugg Entertainment.

GRANT MCLENNAN FELLOWSHIP

GRANT MCLENNAN FELLOWSHIP

The $15,000 Fellowship offers the recipient an opportunity to travel to New York, London or Berlin to be immersed in a foreign and vibrant musical culture to further develop their artistic skills.
